Let people book your hall themselves

Hallsea gives your charity, church, or sports club its own booking page — so the phone calls, the paper diary, and the double-bookings can all retire.

Sound familiar?

The Tuesday-evening phone rota is not a booking system

Phone tag, forever

Margaret wants the main hall on the 14th. You’re at work. She calls again at dinner. And again on Sunday.

The diary has opinions

One pencil scribble says badminton, the other says christening. Both turn up on Saturday.

Chasing the details

Names, emails, what they owe scattered across texts, post-it notes, and somebody’s memory.

Hallsea answers for you: live availability online, requests waiting for a one-tap approval, and every detail saved where the whole team can see it.

How it works

Up and running before the kettle boils

1

Add your spaces

Photos, prices, and when you’re open. About ten minutes, no manual required.

2

Share your link

Put hallsea.com/book/your-hall on your website, in the newsletter, or on the noticeboard.

3

Say yes from anywhere

Approve requests in a tap. Confirmations, reminders, and invoices send themselves.

Everything included

The boring admin, done by the time you look

Approvals your way

Auto-confirm bookings, or keep the final say. Your choice, per space.

Automatic reminders

Bookers get a nudge 24 hours before they’re due. Fewer no-shows, no chasing.

Invoices, sent for you

Every confirmation comes with an invoice, sent automatically with the price and the details. No more chasing who owes what.

Recurring bookings

Weekly yoga, sorted until next summer in one go. Cancel one week without touching the rest.

Reports for the committee

Bookings, revenue, and how busy each space really is, exported as PDF or CSV.

Bring the whole team

Every volunteer gets their own login. No more sharing one password on a laminated card.

Don’t take our word for it. Poke around!

Saltmarsh Village Hall is our fictional organisation, running on the real thing. See it from both sides — what your bookers see, and what you’d see behind the scenes.

Your data, handled properly

The part your trustees will ask about

Hosted in the EU

Your data lives in a data centre in Ireland, run on AWS — the same infrastructure most of the internet trusts.

Only what’s needed

Bookers give a name and an email. No accounts, no passwords to look after, nothing collected for its own sake.

Yours to take

Export your bookings and reports as CSV or PDF whenever you like. If you ever leave, your data goes with you.

Never sold

Bookers’ details belong to your organisation, not to us. We process them only to run your bookings, and we never sell personal data.

Why I built Hallsea

Community halls run on volunteers, and volunteers run on goodwill, not on evenings spent returning phone calls about whether the main hall is free a week from Saturday. I’m building Hallsea so the people who keep these places open get their evenings back.

Questions

The things committees ask

Do I need a card to start?+

No. The 30-day trial includes every feature and asks for no payment details. Add a card whenever you’re ready, your plan starts when the trial ends, not before.

What happens when my trial ends?+

If you’ve added payment details, your plan starts automatically. If you haven’t, your booking page pauses (no new bookings can be made) but you keep full dashboard access and all of your data. Add payment details at any time to reopen.

I’m not technical. Honestly, can I set this up?+

Yes. Setting up means typing your space names and prices and uploading a few photos. If you can write an email with an attachment, you can run Hallsea. And if you get stuck, a human answers our support email.

What do the people booking actually see?+

A simple page with your organisation’s name, your spaces, photos, prices, and live availability. They book with just their name and email, no account or password, and manage their bookings through a secure link we email them.

We already run bookings in another system. How painful is switching?+

Less than you’d fear. Your spaces and prices set up fresh in about ten minutes, and your upcoming bookings go in by hand — an afternoon with a cup of tea, not a project. You can run Hallsea alongside your current system until you trust it, and the 30-day trial gives you plenty of runway to do exactly that.

How do you handle data protection?+

Your data is stored in the EU (Ireland). Bookers give only a name and an email — no accounts, no passwords. Their details belong to your organisation: we process them only to run your bookings, and we never sell personal data. You can export everything as CSV whenever you like, and if you leave, your data goes with you. Questions? Email hello@hallsea.com and a human will answer.
